During April & May 2014 the neighbourhood plan team conducted two detailed surveys of every household in Bishop Sutton & Stowey, the first survey was designed to establish the housing demand, both in size, style and tenure & then establish if the development already permitted in the life of the B&NES draft core strategy met or exceeded the local demand.
This survey was also made available to residents of neighbouring villages through displays with survey form in the village shops in West Harptree and Chew Stoke.
The second survey gathered residents views on Community & Recreation, Roads & Transport & Business & Employment.
The response to both surveys was very positive and we had a great return rate, giving us a solid statistical foundation to base the draft policies on.
